The title comes from the poetry of Edward Sill. Painted in acrylic on 4" x 4" gallery-style canvas, this colorful hummingbird sits in a profile pose. The lines are alive with nervous energy both inherited from & giving life to the subject. The dark lines form a top layer with the bold color space seemingly sinking deep into the canvas behind it. This hyper-reality invites the viewer to look deep into the image & explore the different texture regions.
